10,000+ link building directories for free (yes, you read it right, for FREE!)

Over the many years I have been in search, I have compiled many spreadsheets, docs and various other bits of information around link building.
Recently I was trawling through my archive and decided it was time for a spring (or winter) clean. After spending a few hours merging all of the link building information and data I have into one doc, I finally have one complete file with over 10,000+ free link directories.

PS: One thing I must stress is targeting ’just‘ link directories isn’t enough for an SEO campaign, to learn more about effective link building check out this handy guide I wrote and read what Google looks for in a good link here.
PPS: Some of the directories may no longer work or the requirements may have changed, but I’m sure there will still be plenty of free link building opportunities available within the document.

Nice work – hit download and got the file – rather weak directories but like you say – seem to be free but only submissions…
Like you say – its not enough for a competitive SEO campaign but its a start for those who might be seeking to bolster a content network of some kind.

@iDCx – Thanks for the comments. Yes that’s right, they are a mixture of PR0 to PR5. And as you know, for a successful link building campaign, directories aren’t enough, mixing it up with social, blogs, forums etc looks more natural and works far better.
