Mobile friendliness confirmed as a Google ranking signal – things to consider…

Finally! Google have confirmed that mobile sites will benefit within search results.

SEOs have known for some time that mobile friendliness is a ranking signal (Google Caffeine really was the start of this from a speed perspective) and its great to see it being confirmed by Google.

Content Question: Will my PDFs cause internal duplicate content issues?

This weeks question is around website pages, PDFs and duplicate content:

I run an eCommerce construction site, on each product page I have the full specification and then have a PDF download with the same content.

Will the PDFs cause an issue with internal duplicate content?

This is an interesting question…

Daily SEO tasks you need to be doing in 2013…

This weeks questions comes off the back of a post I wrote in 2011 around daily SEO tasks.

“Hi Dave, I read your post around daily SEO tasks and I was  wondering what you have changed now we have Google Panda and Penguin in place?”

This is a great question and one I’m really keen to answers, so on a daily basis I do the following:

Read, read, read, and then read again – It’s important to stay close to a changing landscape, and I will typically spend 30 minutes a day going through a number of sites, many of which can be found here.

I was enticed out of freelancing by a role as Senior Copywriter at a big copywriting agency in Nottingham.
